Hyrox is a unique training format created in 2017 that combines running with functional exercises such as rowing, ski-erg, lunges, and burpees. It’s a complete challenge that blends endurance and strength training with high intensity, designed to push your limits and unlock your full potential.

Each Hyrox session pushes your body to its limits: you alternate between intense cardio and demanding functional movements. The result: your body draws on its reserves, expends maximum energy, develops power, and improves your overall fitness.

Our Hyrox sessions in Paris

During a Hyrox Paris session, you’ll perform compound movements – rowing, ski-erg, lunges, burpees, wall balls, farmers carry, etc. – that work your entire body and burn maximum energy.

At Unity Factory, our workouts include simulation circuits inspired by Hyrox challenges, such as:

  1. 250 m run

  2. 15 burpees

  3. Another 250 m run

  4. 30 lunges

  5. And so on, alternating with different exercises.

This Hyrox format pushes you to maintain a high intensity over time, combining endurance, strength, and explosiveness. It’s the perfect blend of stamina and power, for a complete and highly effective workout.

How a Hyrox class works

Our Hyrox classes last about 30 minutes. In each session, you’ll alternate between endurance runs and functional exercises. A typical class includes:

  • Warm-up: 5 minutes of mobility and light cardio (running, rowing, ski-erg) to prepare the body.

  • Hyrox block: alternating short running phases (200 to 500 m) with functional exercises such as burpees, lunges, wall balls, rowing, farmer’s carry, etc. High intensity, full-body effort with weights to build your strength for Hyrox.

  • Active recovery: very short transitions between stations (walking, breathing) to keep a steady pace.

  • Variation: each session offers a different sequence to target cardio, endurance, strength, and explosiveness.

  • Cool down: 5 minutes of stretching and mobility to optimize recovery.

Total duration: 30 minutes of complete, efficient, and intense training.

What is the difference between Hyrox and Cross Training ?

Cross Training changes its workouts every day with unpredictable movements. Hyrox, on the other hand, follows a fixed and standardised format focused on endurance and repetition. You know exactly what to work on to improve. This consistency is what makes Hyrox measurable and ideal for tracking your performance.

Not at all. Hyrox is designed for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced athletes. The weights can be adapted according to your category: Open, Pro, Doubles or Relay. The most important thing is to progress at your own pace. Our Hyrox classes in Paris support you step by step to develop your fitness safely.

 

For a beginner, 2 to 3 Hyrox sessions per week are enough to get started and progress without risking injury. More experienced athletes can train 4 to 5 times per week, combining running, strength training and specific Hyrox stations. Always keep 1 to 2 recovery days. Our Hyrox gym offers 2 practical sessions per week to help you progress effectively.

 

To prepare properly for a Hyrox race, combine running with functional strength training. Work on your cardiovascular endurance while mastering the specific movements used in the stations. Regular training, 2 to 3 times per week, is enough to make progress.

Yes, the official Hyrox race offers several formats: individual, doubles or four-person relay. The relay format allows you to share the effort between participants, making it perfect for discovering the event without pressure. It is also a friendly experience that builds team spirit, ideal for trying it with friends or colleagues.

 

The duration of a Hyrox race depends on your level and category. The global average time is around 1 hour 30 minutes, but a first Hyrox often takes between 1 hour 40 minutes and 2 hours, as you learn to manage the effort.
